Who we are
Independent outdoor gear help shaped by field experience.
High Adventure Supply grew out of end-of-season bulk orders planned by Philmont Rangers who had spent the summer seeing what gear came through camp, what other rangers trusted, and which products held up.
Our philosophy
We believe good outdoor gear should be practical, durable, and appropriate for the trip. For group and youth use, that usually matters more than chasing the lightest, newest, or most expensive option.
We are not trying to be a general retail store with endless shelves. We focus on the use cases we know well, especially group outfitting and Pacific Northwest trips, so we can recommend the right products instead of simply selling whatever is in stock.
How we choose suppliers
Whenever possible, we work with local and regional manufacturers. Being close enough to visit factories, learn products in person, and build direct relationships helps us understand the gear better and serve groups faster.
Those relationships can lower shipping costs, improve availability, open access to special inventory, and give us a direct channel for product feedback. When we see a way a product could work better for groups, we want to be close enough to say so.
Field-tested
We favor gear that has proven useful in real camps, crews, trailers, and weather.
Relationship-led
We prefer suppliers we can know directly, visit, and learn from.
Group-focused
Standardized group orders help reduce cost, simplify logistics, and improve availability.
Right fit
If a product is wrong for your region, season, or group, we will say so.
